"the roses of takashimaya" is an art project by sabine und daniel perez. the basis for this was formed by an old rose motive printed on the shopping bags of the japanese luxury department store takashimaya.

the paris-based producer of haberdashy sayou has used this motive in roses to create a stick-on design that has been implemented by the artists in a surprising way: embroidered roses blossom on plastic bags (sabine) and sounds as a musical interpetation (daniel).

the musical part of the work is content of this album.
